Ecotourism is different from traditional tourism in a lot of ways, with some of its key features being the respect of the natural areas and the emphasis on sustainability. Eco tours seek to provide nature and adventure lovers with an intimate experience with the natural environment, combined with an educational or learning experience.
Operators offering ecotours should know how to best deliver messages of ecologically sustainable tourism, interpret wildlife and nature, and how to best identify key natural features and aspects in a given area that appeal to tourists without diminishing them in any way.

Target Audience

All involved in promoting ecotourism and delivering eco activities and tours including: Government agencies, tour operators, travel agencies, eco guides, nature and adventure activity operators
